Default Proposed change to aliance chat

First off, this is NOT a complaint about their first change to the system, it is a possable modification I believe to be a good idea.

Please read this post before posting any flame/your stupid/ect.

The former version of the aliance chat needed to be changed, as having it open only to the officers/leaders of the guilds caused many problems. However, their change has led to many problems of its own. Now, many people spam in the aliance chat, causing extream annoyance, and on ocasion, aliances to fall apart.

My suggestion to fix this new problem, is make it possable for the guild leader/officers to remove the privilage of using aliance chat from individual members of their guild. This will not solve the problem, but will considerably help it.

Put simply, if someone in a guild is using aliance chat to spam anything, a guild officer or the guild leader has the ability to stop them, and prevent them from doing so in the future.

Uhm, the officers and leader do have the ability, it's that little option called 'evict from the guild'

Damn skippy! Because if they are too immature to use alliance chat maturely, or more importantly productively, they shouldn't be representing that guild anyway. UNLESS, if the whole guild IS representing the guild name. Like this one alliance we were in, even the guild name was obnoxious. I can't quite remember the name, but it said something about losers of something. Their officers used alliance chat just to talk about how their chihuaha ate his hot dog and what not, and spammed it a few times. So we just left the alliance, which is another option your guild has, if the other guilds don't want to comply with respecting alliance chat purposes.

I agree with the OP, Guild Leader and Officers should be able to control the alliance chat by setting permissions.

I personally don't like the whole 'kick them if they spam' idea... if you have friends in a guild then you get kicked out and then 3 of your friends leave as well and they had friends then the guild loses like 8 people from someone getting kicked for stupidly using alliance to spam. which can also get you kicked out of alliances...

I sign the suggestion to allow the leader to be able set permissions on the alliance chat usage. I don't think that it is necessary for individual users to have their access restricted but a flag allowing "just officers" or "everyone" would be nice.

Sorry for the thread necromancy, but I'd like this to be implemented.
